How to use the "ALE to COPRA XML" converter
- export an .ALE containing metadata (like Scene, Shot, Take, etc.) from within DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Pomfort Silverstack, etc.
- download the converter (linked at the end of this article)
- open the converter and fill out the required fields:
Input ALE: choose your ALE, exported in the first step
Output XML: choose a destination for the created COPRA XML
File Name: select the ALE column that contains your source clip file names (for example "File")
Display File Name: select the ALE column that contains your clip file names (for example "Name")
Project: Name of the Project on COPRA Server
Task: Name of the Task on COPRA Server
Reel: Name of the Reel on COPRA Server
- Press "Convert" and your COPRA XML should be created

To import metadata for "Scene", "Shot" and "Take" make sure that your ALE contains the "Scene" data in a column named "Scene", the "Shot" data in a column either named "Camera_index" or "Camera" and the "Take" data in a column named "Take".
